Job description

Porter Manager
SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating and controlling all area of porter services. Supervises personnel in Porter Department. Responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness in all area of the Casino public and office areas.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Supervising all phases of the Porter Department.
  2. Adheres to the operational and fiscal activities of the department to include: staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
  3. Supervises porter personnel. Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and discipline porter staff.
  4. Suggests procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.
  5. Assists with the investigation and resolution of employee and guest concerns.
  6. Enforces all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  7. Participates in departmental brainstorming sessions.
  8. Completes Human Resources paperwork timely and accurately.
  9. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills. Position requires attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. This is normally acquired through a combination of a high school diploma or equivalent and two to four years of administrative experience.
  3. Must have proven ability to manage multiple priorities and inspire and elevate an individual or a team's performance.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require evening, early morning, and week end schedules.
