The Purple Lotus Security Guard will thrive in a loud and fast paced environment, be responsible for securing premises and personnel through property patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, as well as maintain 100% control of facility entry.

In the event of an emergency, the ideal candidate will obtain assistance by promptly sounding alarms. They will proactively prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policies and procedures. The Purple Lotus Security Guard will also be in charge of traffic control, directing drivers as necessary. Additionally, they will maintain a detailed record of observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities, assist in conducting interviews, and obtaining signatures for comprehensive reporting. To ensure a secure environment, the candidate will monitor and adjust building and equipment controls. Upholding the organization's stability and reputation, they will strictly adhere to legal requirements. In terms of equipment management, the ideal candidate will ensure the operation of equipment through preventive maintenance, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.

Security Guard Duties:

  • Regularly patrol premises to ensure a safe environment and establish a reassuring presence.
  • Monitor and authorize the entrance of vehicles and individuals onto the property, creating a secure and controlled access system.
  • Age and ID verification 
  • Swiftly remove wrongdoers or trespassers, maintaining a secure and orderly space for everyone.
  • At the end of operations, diligently secure all exits, doors, and windows to safeguard the property.
  • Periodically check surveillance cameras to identify and address any disruptions or unlawful activities promptly.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into individuals exhibiting suspicious behavior or possessing questionable items.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, investigating and assessing situations to ensure a swift and effective resolution.
  • Provide assistance to individuals in need, contributing to a supportive and caring environment.
  • Adhere to legal protocols when apprehending and detaining perpetrators, ensuring a secure environment before the arrival of authorities.
  • Submit detailed reports summarizing daily surveillance activities and significant occurrences, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of the security landscape.
  • Report to General Manager and Security Leadership

Requirements & Skills: 

  • Current Guard Card
  • Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
  • Familiarity with report writing
  • Excellent surveillance and observation skills
  • Knowledge of surveillance systems
  • Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
  • High School diploma is required
  • Weekend availability is required
  • Holiday availability is required

Consistent with dependability and punctuality, expected to show up and ready to work every day.

Communication & Following Direction: Must be able to follow basic instructions as well as be able to take constructive criticism and performance feedback  from leaders and managers,  to inspire and respect authority.
