Context & Environment
Minimum of either High School Diploma with 5+ years relevant electrical experience in the petrochemical field; OR two-year college degree in a related field (electrical, instrumentation, analyzer, electronics or relevant) with 2+ years relevant electrical experience in the petrochemical field; OR licensed Journeyman Electrician.
Activities
  • Research material and equipment required to perform job assignments
Provide documentation on:
* PM procedure
* Overhaul procedures
* Startup/shutdown procedures
* Safe work procedures
* Reports, project documentation, modifications
* Work with vendors/contractors on repairs and maintenance of equipment
Candidate Profile
  • Low, medium and high voltage maintenance experience, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting experience
* Motor control troubleshooting and preventive maintenance experience
* Substation troubleshooting and preventive maintenance experience
* Substation print reading experience
* Motor control print reading experience
* Motor operated valves PM and troubleshooting experience
* UPS system experience
* Variable speed drive troubleshooting experience
* PLC troubleshooting experience
* Ability to work on energized circuits confidently and in a safe manner.
* Ability to climb safely and no fear of heights
* Willingness to do whatever is required to safely perform electrical jobs such as digging with a shovel, assisting in pole line work, working out of a bucket truck, etc.
* Willing to work overtime and answer call outs
* Cooperative and works well with others
* Experience using Microsoft Office Products
* Able to read and interpret P&ID's, Isometrics, and Electrical drawings
