Vox Media is seeking a video leader who understands the ever-changing social media landscape and is highly organized to oversee the video program at Popsugar.
Directly reporting to the Director of Audience Development, this individual will oversee video development and production across Popsugar. The ideal candidate is an experienced video leader with the initiative to ideate, kick-start and manage multiple projects from start to finish in a fast-paced setting, a razor-sharp eye for details, skilled communicators (in person and remotely), and strong understanding of the sponsorship business. This individual should balance social video execution based off Vox Media's business priorities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Creative Development: Leading ideating, coordinating, producing, and delivering buzz-worthy audience-first franchises, series, and one-off social videos across Popsugar, including sponsorship campaigns.
Content: Collaborate with other video leads, edit leads, and the Audience Director to ensure we deliver the highest quality content possible. As well as:
  • Develop new social video ideas for repeatable series
  • Produce and shoot in the field weekly
  • Edit 1-3 social videos per week
  • Stay on top of pop culture, lifestyle, events, and trends and pitch timely social video ideas as you see fit
  • Work with leadership on big initiatives and brand programs
  • Mentor and assist editors in creating their own videos as needed

Talent Management: Work alongside the Social Talent Coordinator, Aud Dev Director, and Editor-in-Chief to manage a network of talent and creators for series production and video partnerships.
Sponsorships: Partner with leadership on new & existing RFPs to ensure we are balancing client requests with editorial sensibilities. Create, assign, and deliver video concepts or series based on specific sponsorship campaigns. This includes finding solutions for new opps and developing series (working alongside VP of Video).
Revenue: Partner with VP of Video to ensure we are hitting revenue goals & delivering all content in timely manner.
WHO YOU ARE
  • 8+ years of professional experience producing social video (creation through post)
  • Expert in developing social concepts for video
  • Strong understanding of video analytics on the platforms and the impact they play
  • Strong experience with sponsored video concepts
  • Both high-end and low-fi shooting capabilities for social
  • Previous people management experience
  • Previous Talent or Creator management experience including working with agents
  • Ability to work across different brands and on different platforms
  • Strong storytelling capabilities
  • An understanding that social video changes rapidly

PAY TRANSPARENCY
The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay for this position at the time of this posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.

$105,000-$115,000 USD
