JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and repairing of various equipment and systems. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills.

The responsibilities of the Maintenance Assistant include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform industrial preventative maintenance and work on associate software systems
  • Maintain a level head and professional mannerism during high pressure / high stress situations, as well as work extensive overtime hours as required for harvest season and emergency repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Work safely in less-than-ideal weather conditions including heavy rain, snow, and hot and cold ambient temperatures while climbing grain elevators, bins, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with the repair on 120V to 480V electrical systems daily
  • Troubleshoot and assist with the repair Information Technology (IT) systems weekly
  • Troubleshoot and assist with the repair mechanical systems daily
  • Troubleshoot and assist with the repair of pneumatic and hydraulic systems monthly
  • Troubleshooting PLC (hardware and logic) systems monthly.
  • Troubleshooting and assist with the repair on Integris systems weekly
  • Troubleshoot and assist with repair on video jet printer twice per year
  • Assist with plumbing repairs twice a year


EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related field, at least 1-3 years
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
  • Basic knowledge of computers a plus
  • Welding experience a plus
  • Knowledge of logic controllers is preferred
