We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Fine Dining Server - Orchid Room PT to join our Pier Sixty-Six Club team! You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our club member. You will be responsible for greeting patrons, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and checking on member satisfaction. You will use the freedom to go the extra mile to turn member interactions into moments of magic.

Reporting to the Orchid Room General Manager you will support and provide excellent service at our new high-end brunch all day concept, located on the lobby level of our iconic resort. This high-volume requires a passion for personalized service and guest engagement. The new hot spot in Fort Lauderdale will offer luxury products and service, in a dynamic environment.  

Responsibilities
  • Able to explain ingredients, preparation techniques and available substitutions
  • Knowing of and able to talk to customers about daily specials
  • Be detail oriented
  • Provide meal recommendations and wine pairing suggestions
  • Thorough knowledge of FORBES standards
  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
  • Set tables according to service standards
  • Answer questions on menu selections to guests
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recooking orders, and product availability
  • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
  • Record transaction in InfoGenesis system at time of order
  • Check in with guests to exceed guest satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
  • Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights and fire pit, looking all doors etc.
  • Present physical and accurate check - 2 copies to guests and process payments
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company and five-star standards
  • Run food and bus tables when you find extra time
  • Anticipate and address guests service needs
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures
  • Effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front-of-the-house employees

  • Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property
  • Subscribe to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Company policy
  • Be courteous to all guests and coworkers
  • Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Team Member Handbook
  • Be familiar with all Resort services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes at Pier Sixty-Six.

Experience, Education, & Licensure

  • Minimum 2 years in fine dining service experience in addition to knowledge of sideboard service.
  • Hotel and or club experience preferred
  • High School diploma preferred
