About the Park: New Orleans RV Resort & Marina (formerly Pontchartrain Landing) is a casual, gated RV park and marina in New Orleans, located on the corner of Lake Pontchartrain, just 12 minutes away from the French Quarter. With furnished villas (including 3 floating villas) and deluxe waterfront RV sites, swimming pool, convenience store, souvenir shop, restaurant, and long-term or short-term storage options, New Orleans RV Resort & Marina redefines the Lake Pontchartrain marina vacation lifestyle.

Position Summary: The Housekeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the property's office, public restrooms, pool areas, and common spaces with duties including but not limited to mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal. This role involves keeping track of cleaning supply inventory, reporting issues to the Property Manager, and taking pride in creating a clean and welcoming environment for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean the resort office, public restrooms and pool areas including mopping, dusting, vacuuming and removing trash.
  • Clean showers and laundry areas twice daily (beginning and end of work shift).
  • Lightly cleaning of up to 9 rental cabins a day (no beds or bathrooms).
  • Keep common areas clean and maintain them to our standards.
  • Keep track of cleaning supply inventory and request refills as needed.
  • Report any maintenance concerns for repairs in common areas to the Property Manager.
  • Work closely with management to maintain open communications.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • At least 1 year of previous housekeeping experience in a hospitality environment, required.
  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Motivated and dedicated to serving customers and a job well done.
  • Must be able to maintain high standards and work safely.
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be within commuting distance from the property.
