Lead Hospitality Concierge

The Birdie House

Worthington, OH • On-site

$55K - $60K/yr

Full-time

Re-posted 15 days ago

Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Birdie House is Worthington's first boutique indoor golf simulator lounge featuring five Foresight Falcon simulator bays, a curated bourbon and craft-cocktail bar, and a community of golfers who don't let weather end the season. We're opening Summer 2026, and we're looking for someone to help set the tone for what a great visit looks like here.

The Lead Hospitality Concierge is part bartender, part bay host, and the most experienced person on the floor on any given shift. You'll work closely alongside the Hospitality Concierge team and report directly to the owners. We're a small, tight-knit operation where everyone contributes, and the lead role simply means you're the one others look to when things need to get done. If you love hospitality, take pride in a well-run room, and want to grow with a brand from the ground up, this is the role for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome guests, check in reservations, and get everyone settled into their simulator bay, making the whole process feel easy and fun
  • Manage bar service throughout your shift: take drink orders, prepare cocktails and bourbon pours, and keep the lounge stocked and looking sharp
  • Host the simulator bays: walk guests through the setup, help with course and game selection, troubleshoot basic issues, and check in during their session
  • Keep the floor clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
  • Share information about memberships, packages, leagues, and upcoming events when the moment is right, always natural and never pushy
  • Assist with opening and closing tasks as assigned
  • Set the standard on the floor and serve as the go-to resource for the Hospitality Concierge team during your shift to help keep things running smoothly
  • Handle opening and/or closing responsibilities, including restocking, end-of-day checks, and communicating anything notable to ownership

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 1+ years in a hospitality, bar, or guest services role
  • Warm and outgoing personality; you make people feel like regulars on their first visit
  • Comfortable behind a bar, or eager to learn (we'll train the right person)
  • Reliable, punctual, and great at reading a room
  • An interest in or familiarity with golf; experience on the course is a plus, but enthusiasm counts
  • Availability for evenings and weekends, especially during fall and winter peak season
  • TIPS or equivalent alcohol service certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • 2+ years of hospitality experience, and some comfort leading by example in a team setting

COMPENSATION & PERKS

Pay: $12$14/hour based on experience

Tips: Shared tip pool on all bar and service revenue. Eventual share of sales. Huge long term opportunity.

Growth: As The Birdie House grows, so will this role we're building something from scratch and want people who want to grow with it

Perks: Complimentary simulator time, a fun and welcoming work environment, and the chance to be part of day one
