Fox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. VP, Sales Manager

FOX Television Stations - Chicago & Milwaukee

Locations: Chicago, IL & Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid/Market-Flexible) Reports To: Regional Vice President of Sales

Position Summary: Working in close partnership with the Regional VP of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager will play a critical role in driving revenue and maximizing profitability across both the Chicago and Milwaukee television properties. This leadership role requires a sharp analytical mind for inventory and pricing, a deep understanding of the political advertising landscape, and the ability to uncover and maximize alternative revenue streams, including premium live sports, paid programming, and cross-platform digital opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Premium Sports Portfolio: Oversee and maximize local sales sponsorships and advertising opportunities surrounding FOX's premier sports broadcasting rights. Strategically leverage high-profile, marquee matchups including local opportunities for the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, and Milwaukee Brewers to drive premium revenue.

  • Drive Revenue Results: Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to exceed revenue targets across all local, national, and digital properties for the Chicago and Milwaukee stations.

  • Political Sales Leadership: Spearhead all political sales efforts, including managing complex pricing strategies, leading high-stakes negotiations with agencies, and ensuring strict compliance with FCC political broadcasting regulations.

  • Inventory & Pricing Management: Continuously analyze station inventory to optimize pricing strategies, maximize yield, and ensure the most profitable sell-out levels across all dayparts.

  • Paid Programming Optimization: Identify, negotiate, and maximize paid programming and infomercial revenue opportunities to ensure optimal utilization of available broadcast time.

  • Strategic Forecasting: Assist the Regional VP with accurate revenue forecasting, market share analysis, and regular performance reporting.

  • Cross-Platform Integration: Champion the sale of FOX's digital, streaming, and OTT assets alongside traditional linear broadcast media.

  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, high-level relationships with key advertising agencies, political buyers, sports marketing partners, and direct clients across both markets.

  • Team Synergy: Collaborate closely with traffic, research, and local sales teams to ensure smooth execution of campaigns.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of successful experience in broadcast television sales, with prior management or senior account executive experience preferred.

  • Sports & Political Expertise: Proven experience selling premium live sports packages. Deep, hands-on experience handling political advertising, including a strong grasp of lowest unit charge (LUC) rules, political rate cards, and public file requirements.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of broadcast sales software and platforms .

  • Negotiation Skills: Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to confidently pitch and close complex, high-dollar campaigns.

  • Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the Chicago and Milwaukee media markets, as well as their local sports landscapes

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional media experience).

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $260,000.00-290,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
