Job description

Blaze Media's Nashville Studio is looking for a detail-oriented team player with strong video production skills. The ideal producer is a creative force, as they will be expected to pitch, write, and produce new segments and content ideas. The producer should be well-aligned with the Blaze Media brand and be prepared to transform the current political, cultural, and theological stories into great Blaze Media segments. Discretion is important for this position, so the candidate should be willing to sign an NDA during the interview process.
Job Responsibilities
  • Research & Pitch monologue topics & angles
  • Write monologues with video & graphic elements
  • Pitch, research, and book guests, including coordinating travel & studio logistics
  • Line producing & element requests
  • Produce creative game segments from start to finish
  • Provide live notes for the edit during tapings
  • Pitch and submit titles & thumbnails
  • Conduct quality checks on content
  • Pitch short form and medium form clips for social channels
  • Other miscellaneous duties to ensure the above are satisfactorily completed

Required Experience & Skills
  • 3-5 years of related production experience on a podcast or news show
  • Proven track record of strong editorial judgement in current cultural, faith, political and news media landscapes
  • Google Docs
  • Google Calendar
  • Working knowledge of the post-production process, including editing, mixing, and color correction

Preferred Experience & Skills
  • Working knowledge of cameras, flights, and audio recording
  • Octopus
