We are seeking a Patent Engineer to support our intellectual property (IP) function by working closely with engineering and legal teams to identify, evaluate, and protect new innovations.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys analyzing new technologies, working cross-functionally, and developing expertise in patents and intellectual property.
🔹 What You'll Do
  • Partner with engineering teams to identify new inventions and innovations

  • Evaluate ideas to determine whether they are suitable for patent protection

  • Conduct patent searches and review existing technologies

  • Support internal review committees that assess invention disclosures

  • Coordinate with external patent counsel to prepare and file patent applications

  • Review technical documents and ensure accuracy for patent filings

  • Track and manage early stages of the patent application process

🔹 What We're Looking For
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)

  • 3-8+ years of relevant experience in engineering or related field

  • Strong analytical and written communication skills

  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts clearly

Preferred:
  • Working knowledge of patents, intellectual property, or innovation processes

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering + legal is a plus)

  • Familiarity with HVAC, industrial, or mechanical systems

  • Interest in pursuing a career in intellectual property
