Job description

Overview

The Target National Account Manager (NAM) - Foods Portfolio is responsible for leading day-to-day management of Quaker's Foods business at Target, representing a significant portion of the total Quaker portfolio. This role focuses on driving execution across Ready-to-Eat (RTE), Hot Cereals, Meals, and Pancake Mix & Syrup (PMC), delivering against annual revenue, share, and profitability objectives.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring strong in-market execution, operational excellence, and consistent delivery of business plans, while partnering closely with internal cross-functional teams and supporting broader Target account strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day management of the Quaker Foods portfolio at Target, including RTE, Hots, Meals, and PMC categories (~$45-50MM business)
  • Develop and execute customer-specific plans to deliver against revenue, share, and profitability targets
  • Lead ongoing business management with Target buyer(s), including assortment, merchandising, pricing, and promotional execution
  • Conduct regular analysis of business performance to identify risks and opportunities, delivering actionable insights to drive growth
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Insights, Supply Chain, and Shopper Marketing to ensure aligned planning and flawless execution
  • Support the development and execution of annual operating plans, forecasts, and periodic business reviews
  • Manage key operational processes, including item setup, pricing updates, contract execution, and vendor funding mechanics within Target systems
  • Ensure strong communication and alignment with field sales teams to drive execution of in-store programs and initiatives
  • Develop compelling, fact-based selling stories leveraging syndicated data and shopper insights
  • Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance team effectiveness and customer execution

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $110,700 - $185,250.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree; Master's degree preferred
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years of sales experience; preferably with a consumer-packaged goods organization. A minimum of 2 years of fact-based direct selling experience.

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Consumer packaged goods experience in a warehouse and/or Direct store delivery environment
  • Proven leadership capability with a track record of leading and influencing large multi-level teams
  • Superior time management skills, ability to multitask, set priorities, and plan
  • Strong use of influencing skills to gain alignment, agreement, and commitments (internal/external)
  • Align on and achieve Retail sales volume, revenue, and profit goals for Customer/Business
  • Strong ability to work within and be successful in a highly matrix environment
  • Strong analytical skills: the ability to link strategies and objectives to develop a plan
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to send and receive information clearly and concisely
