Administrative Assistant

Title: Administrative Assistant

Campus Location: Radford City - Main Campus

Job Description

Provide administrative support to the Department Design; supervise student workers; maintain calendar(s) and serve as receptionist; maintain budget records; oversee all administrative functions for the main departmental office including multiple budgets. eVA, Banner, FLAC, Diversity Travel, Emburse, Kuali, Ad Astra and Cognos experience preferred.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of general office policies and procedures, practices and equipment. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to interact with multiple constituencies and maintain confidentiality required. Proficient with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience providing programmatic and/or administrative experience preferred. This position will maintain current Advisory board and Alumni Contacts, Enter Faculty Schedules, maintain syllabi repository, assist with social media and marketing of departmental happenings. Scheduling experience and excellent organization and people skill are a must. We have multiple budgets plus foundation accounts. Assisting with annual fundraising event and maintaining donor address list.

Preferred Qualifications: Supervisory experience preferred. Previous experience with budget management. Experience with eVA, Banner, FLAC, Diversity Travel, Emburse, Ad Astra and Cognos preferred.
