Schedule

Varies. Weekly travel overnight. Leave Monday am return Friday pm with occasional weekend over.

Position Summary 


The Merchandising Rep will be responsible for ensuring the completion of assigned store sets and resets. These resets will be based on written or verbal instructions as scheduled and require staying within budget.  The Merchandising Rep will travel to new and existing customers.  They will manage 
the lifecycle of the projects given by the Merchandising Retail Manager and manage others throughout the project. 
Essential Responsibilities 
• Manages assigned weekly reset projects independently and executes completion in timely fashion. 
• Trains and develops assigned Merchandising Representatives, temporary employees and subcontractors to ensure compliance with Novo safety guidelines, work standards and Lowes processes. 
• Oversees any concerns Lowe’s management has at the time of the set, adjusting and directing others for changes as warranted. 
• Manages assigned personnels work hours and overtime are in accordance with the company goals and the assigned project(s). 
• Ensures the sign out process of walking with Lowe’s management and uploading of photos of the completed project are accurate and completed 
• Manages company assigned vehicle and Point of Purchase (POP) Inventory. 
• Upholds established Novo quality standards in performance of all duties assigned. 
• Executes the preparation and assembly of merchandising materials for sets and resets to be performed. 
• Assists with receiving and/or reconciling accounting for products received at stores to be set or reset. 
• Travels to new and existing customers to set or reset the stores, which may require safely towing a utility trailer. 
• Installs displays and point of purchase materials for various products, stocking product in bays or reset while adhering to timelines and deadlines to meet the needs of the business. 
• Directs the decision to implement changes to POG by assessing current needs and collaborating with POG Team when necessary or required.  
• Follow established company guidelines and procedures and ensure other areas of Novo products in the store are set up and signed properly. 
• Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor. 

May assist with preparation and process buyback and/or set related paperwork. 

• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Basic Qualifications (Required) 

  • Proven and continued ability to uphold Novo’s high standards of quality, professionalism, and ethics, providing a positive image of the company to its customers. 
  • Shown working knowledge of hand and power tools and their safe operation.
  •  Functional knowledge of displays and ability to create and produce them as necessary.
  • Proven experience understanding our retailers and warehousing environment needs.
  • Valid (unrestricted other than for vision correction) driver’s license and ability to safely drive a manual transmission vehicle and tow a utility trailer long distance.
  • This position requires a reliable personal vehicle and the ability to transport yourself using your personal vehicle to the job site/airport when necessary.
  • Good driving record 
  •  Demonstrated ability to work independently, make solid business decisions with little supervision or management input in day-to-day activities.
  • Effective management of company expenses as they pertain to travel and expense policy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Merchandising Representative 
  • Prior experience in the millwork, lumber or building materials industry.
  • Carpentry skills

Travel Requirements 

  • Regular travel within USA
  • Regular overnight travel required.

  • 50%: Working bent at waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bending or twisting. 
  • Lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance. 
  • Lift, push or pull 75-100 lbs. with assistance.
