Job description

Reno Staffing is looking for an electrical MEP Coordinator for a construction company located in the USA Parkway!


This is a temp to hire opportunity providing excellent benefits upon hire. The right candidate will be ready to make a difference and take this role head on!

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Salary: $120,000 - $200,000
Location: Sparks, NV 89434 - Own transportation required. Some traveling is required as client has multiple locations.
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator to oversee the planning, coordination,
and on-site delivery of electrical systems for commercial construction projects. The role
ensures seamless integration of electrical systems with architectural and structural work,
HVAC, and plumbing, enforces quality and safety standards, and drives the timely
completion of electrical milestones. This role will work closely with field teams, project
management, subcontractors, vendors, and other trades to maintain the schedule, resolve
coordination issues, and support installation efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.
  • Coordinate MEP design and installation across project phases, ensuring
    compatibility between mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and the overall
    building design.
  • Assist with management and tracking of project schedules related to electrical
    scopes, schedules, and sequencing to align with the master construction program;
    identify and resolve sequencing conflicts.
  • Review electrical submittals and owner-furnished equipment for completeness
    and coordination, verify compliance with project specifications, codes, and
    standards.
  • Support field teams with planning, logistics, and gap coordination
  • Participate in coordination meetings and help drive issue resolution between
    stakeholders.
  • Manage clash detection and BIM coordination using Revit/BIM tools; produce
    coordinated models and clash reports for resolution.
  • Assist with QA/QC and ensure installations align with project documents and
    design intent
At the discretion of your lead or supervisor, you could be required to perform additional job related activities not specifically outlined above.

Competency:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering, or
    equivalent technical diploma.
  • 3โ€“7 yearsโ€™ experience in MEP coordination on commercial or industrial
    construction projects; experience with BIM coordination strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and clash detection tools
  • Strong coordination and communication skills, and the ability to work across
    multiple teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong MS Office skills.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Large-Scale Data Center, healthcare, or high-tech facilities.
  • Professional certifications such as LEED, PMP, or relevant trade licenses.

Skills and Competencies

  • Technical knowledge of Electrical power distribution, Fire Systems,
  • Core knowledge of HVAC & Plumbing systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate
    technical issues for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and attention to detail; ability to prioritize multiple concurrent
    issues.

Working Conditions
  • On-site presence required during construction phases
  • Standard construction PPE and safety compliance expected.
