Syntax is seeking a Senior SAP Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex SAP projects, including SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations. This role is responsible for guiding projects from planning through closure while ensuring alignment to scope, budget, timeline, quality, and client expectations. The ideal candidate brings deep SAP delivery experience, strong consulting acumen, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through full lifecycle implementations in fast-paced client environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of complex SAP projects, including SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations.
  • Define project scope, objectives, timeline, resource plan, and delivery approach in alignment with client and business goals.
  • Manage cross-functional delivery teams, including architects, consultants, offshore resources, and third-party vendors, to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including client sponsors and senior leadership.
  • Provide regular communication on project status, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
  • Proactively manage scope changes and assess impacts to budget, schedule, resources, and contractual commitments.
  • Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, actuals tracking, and margin performance.
  • Escalate issues appropriately and drive timely resolution to minimize delivery and client impact.
  • Ensure adherence to project governance, delivery methodologies, and organizational standards, including SAP Activate.
  • Drive delivery outcomes that align with business objectives, measurable value, and contractual commitments, including supplier and partner management.
  • Manage risks, assumptions, dependencies, and interrelated workstreams across multiple stakeholders and locations.
  • Coach and mentor project team members to foster accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Drive successful project closure, including completion of deliverables, stakeholder sign-off, transition planning, and knowledge transfer.
  • Support customer satisfaction, long-term relationship development, and client referenceability.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of project management experience in the SAP ecosystem, including SAP Public Cloud.
  • Proven success leading complex SAP projects, including five or more full lifecycle implementations.
  • Hands-on functional experience in one or more SAP modules.
  • Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
  • Strong experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience working with distributed teams, including hybrid, remote, and offshore delivery models.
  • Strong financial and commercial management skills, including project forecasting, change control, and SOW alignment.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making ability in complex, ambiguous, and fast-changing delivery environments.
  • Proficiency in English is necessary for client-facing implementation activities across multiple regions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Consulting experience in SAP project delivery.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Experience supporting customer success stories, references, or post-project relationship management.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud delivery and enterprise project governance.
  • Experience participating in or leading early project phases such as discovery, assessment, or solution planning.
  • An appreciation for innovation, continuous improvement, and modern delivery approaches, including automation and AI-enabled services.
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • MBA preferred.
