Its main role is to support project managers, standardize processes, ensure project alignment with business goals, and improve project delivery efficiency. PMOs can also provide training, tools, and governance to help projects succeed. Depending on the organization, a PMO may have varying levels of authority and involvement in projects.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a PMO professional?

To thrive as a PMO professional, you need strong project management skills, analytical ability, and a background in business administration or a related field, often supported by certifications like PMP or PRINCE2.
