Job description

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 500+ provider multispecialty group practice that has an excellent opportunity to be part of the SAMG Comprehensive Pain & Spine Service. The Service is seeking a full-time physician to practice within Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center Boise. The qualified candidate will be responsible for all aspects of traditional Comprehensive Pain & Spine clinic and associated in clinic and in hospital interventional Pain & Spine procedures. The well[1]qualified candidate will also commit to and demonstrate a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care. Medical management of patients is a component of practice. This is an Anesthesia or physiatry trained with Interventional Spine Fellowship physician. The schedule consists of working full time, and weekday schedule. Call: the current practice in Boise rotate 1:6.

Support: Inpatient Pain APP team; Level II Trauma Center in Boise; ED; 2 APPs, Clinical psychology, PM&R in Boise Clinic, in suite procedure room and staff.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
  • Successful completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency program; board certification through the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) (or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment); or successful completion of an accredited physiatry residency program; board certification through the American Board of Physiatry (ABP) ( or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment); and successful completion of an interventional spine fellowship.
  • Valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
  • Two years' experience is preferred
  • Obtain Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC-Boise and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed.
