What is Plus Imaging and what do professionals in this field do?

Plus Imaging typically refers to companies or professionals who specialize in providing advanced medical imaging solutions, such as diagnostic imaging equipment and related software for healthcare facilities. These professionals may be involved in the installation, maintenance, and support of imaging devices like MRI, CT, and X-ray machines. Their work helps ensure accurate diagnostic results and efficient workflow in medical imaging departments. Additionally, they may provide training and consultation to healthcare staff regarding the use and best practices of imaging technology.

To thrive as a Medical Imaging Technologist, you need in-depth knowledge of anatomy, imaging procedures, and radiation safety, typically obtained through a relevant degree or certification such as ARRT or equivalent. Familiarity with imaging equipment such as MRI, CT, X-ray machines, and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) is crucial.
