About the Role
Air Control Home Services is seeking an experienced Plumbing Manager to lead our Plumbing Department. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who brings both field experience and business acumen - someone who can coach technicians in the field, manage KPIs, and drive operational excellence. The Plumbing Manager will oversee daily operations, technician performance, and department profitability while fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
You'll work closely with Dispatch, CSRs, and Ownership to ensure the department meets its goals in customer satisfaction, revenue, and efficiency. The right candidate will have an "owner's mindset," holding full accountability for the team's results and always striving to elevate performance across all trades.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead, coach, develop, and support a team of plumbers through training and ride-alongs to ensure quality, safety, and revenue goals are met.
  • Support technicians in maximizing opportunities while always putting the customer first
  • Handle customer concerns and resolve service issues professionally
  • Track and analyze departmental KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to boost performance and profitability.
  • Monitor performance metrics and continuously raise the bar for results and service quality
  • Manage operational functions including job scheduling and on-call rotations while ensuring "Right Tech, Right Call" efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Dispatch and warehouse teams to streamline parts handling, warranty processes, and truck stock management.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings and ongoing training sessions focused on technical skills, sales performance, and customer service excellence.

Desired Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the trades industry (HVAC, plumbing, or electrical preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience managing technicians or field teams
  • Proven experience analyzing and managing KPIs and department performance metrics
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities
  • A valid driver's license
