Description
As a Maintenance Engineer you will:
1. Ensure proper installation, repair and maintenance of all equipment and plumbing.
2. Ensure maintenance and repair of all finished surfaces in the campground
3. Maintain sites picnic table fire pits/ keep grass cut down
4. Make sure power sources a
5. Review all outside contract services for departmental responsibilities with the campgrounds General Manager.
6. Maintain secure storage and complies with good safety practices.
7. Maintain the key and lock system at the campground
8. Review all supply purchases with the General Manager.
9. Maintain minimum inventory of supplies and parts as needed.
10. Assist with trail lights/ make sure they are all working
11. Maintain the exterior appearance of the property.
12. Maintain and controls all tools owned by the campground
13. Maintaining and disposing of waste from trail bathrooms making sure they are in proper working order
14. Transport guest and luggage in side by side
15. Pick up all garbage on site and end of trails make sure they are disposed of properly
16. Make sure each site is stocked with firewood daily as well as base lodge and back fire pit
17. Assist house keeping with hauling garbage bedding at the end of each trail as needed
18. Assist with the loading and unloading of supplies weighing over 40 pounds.
19. Additional duties may be added as needed.
Requirements
EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent. Specialized training and experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, plumbing and HVAC desired. Ability to read, speak, write and understand the primary language of the workplace.
EXPERIENCE: Previous maintenance experience in a hotel or commercial building preferred. A general understanding of budgeting and expense control is helpful.
PHYSICAL: Requires lifting of up to 60 pounds on a regular and continuing basis, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, climbing, walking, repetitive motions, listening ability, visual acuity and good speaking skills.
