Job description

About Plug

Plug is one of the fastest-growing ecommerce companies in St. Louis, backed by multiple Fortune 500 partners. We sell certified pre-owned smartphones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, and accessories: a smarter, more affordable, and more sustainable alternative to buying new.

With 8M+ followers across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, we have built one of the largest and most engaged communities in tech. New York Times Wirecutter Best Experience. Responsible Recycler certified. Over one million pounds of e-waste diverted. We are not just a brand. We are a movement, and we are just getting started.

How We Work

Plug runs on ownership. We move fast, expect a lot, and give people the autonomy to match. No politics. No hand-holding. No ambiguity about what winning looks like. Every person here operates with a founder mindset: clear on the goal, accountable for the outcome, proud of the work.

If you want a front-row seat to building something that matters, this is the place. If you want a job where someone tells you exactly what to do every day, this isn't it.

The Role

Right now, paid media at Plug is run between everything else. We need a dedicated owner who lives in the ad platforms every day, manages the budget like it is their own money, and is measured on efficiency, not activity. You will own paid acquisition end to end across our paid channels (Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Google, and Microsoft Advertising) with the freedom to test new ones as you prove what works.

You will report directly to the CMO and partner closely with our content, creative, and engineering teams. This is a builder role on a small team, so you need to be self-directed. You will not have a big department to lean on. You will have real budget, real ownership, and a direct line to the founders.

What You'll Own
  • Paid social. Plan, build, and optimize campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat. Own structure, targeting, budget pacing, and bidding.
  • Catalog and feed-driven ads. Manage product feeds and run catalog / dynamic product ads across channels. Keep the catalog clean, segmented, and built to convert for a serialized, one-of-a-kind inventory model.
  • Paid search and shopping. Own Google Ads, Performance Max, and Microsoft Advertising (Bing) as part of a balanced channel mix.
  • Measurement and attribution. Own the reporting. Build a single source of truth for spend, ROAS, CAC, and contribution. Reconcile platform-reported numbers against actual revenue and call out what is real versus what is inflated.
  • Creative testing. Brief the content and creative team on what to make, run disciplined creative tests, and feed winners back into the pipeline. You decide what to test; they make it.
  • Analysis on demand. Pull, model, and interpret performance data without needing it handed to you. You should be the person who answers "what is actually working and why."
What You Need
  • 3+ years hands-on managing paid media budgets, ideally in DTC ecommerce.
  • Deep, current expertise in TikTok Ads and / or Meta Ads. Comfortable across the broader paid stack.
  • Real experience with product feeds and catalog / dynamic product ads.
  • Strong analytics. You are fluent in Shopify reporting, GA4, and spreadsheets, and you can read data critically rather than trusting the platform's self-graded homework.
  • Comfort owning a budget and being held to efficiency targets (ROAS, CAC, contribution margin).
  • A self-starter who thrives without a big team and brings the structure rather than waiting for it.
Strong Advantage
  • Proven Snapchat Ads performance at meaningful scale.
  • Microsoft Advertising (Bing) experience.
  • Cross-border or international paid experience.
  • Background in electronics or other considered, higher-trust purchases.
  • A point of view on attribution beyond last-click (incrementality testing, post-purchase surveys, GA4 modeling).
  • You can write a sharp creative brief and recognize a scroll-stopping ad.
What We Offer
  • Compensation Range: $74,000 - $84,000 annually
  • Benefits include Health benefits, 401K, PTO
  • Direct ownership of a core growth lever, reporting straight to the CMO.
  • A growth-stage company where your work moves the number, not a cog in a 200-person machine.
  • A mission worth working on, keeping good devices out of landfills and putting premium tech in more hands at a fair price.
