Harris Group is looking for a Control Systems Engineer to work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers on a variety of industrial applications. The Responsibilities
  • Directing control systems testing, equipment commissioning, field testing and system acceptance including operational readiness testing.
  • PLC, DCS, HMI and SCADA system planning, design, programming and upgrade.
  • Supporting multi-disciplinary teams on engineering projects, with a demonstrated commitment to successful project delivery.
  • Developing drawings and specifications for construction. Drawings for construction include network communication block diagrams, control panel details, wiring termination diagrams, instrument location plans, and instrument installation details.
  • Equipment selection, cost estimating, equipment layout and coordination with other engineering disciplines.
The Requirements

Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, and 3-8 years of experience in PLC programming and HMI or SCADA configuration, with 1 year of field experience.

  • Working knowledge of piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and motor control schematics.
  • Demonstrated ability using Ethernet and control system communication protocols.
  • Experience with Rockwell, Wonderware, and similar PLC/HMI software.
  • Travel up to 20% of the year may be required.
  • A registered professional engineer is preferred.
