The Development Manager is a relationship-driven fundraiser responsible for strengthening and growing Fello's community of individual donors. This role secures gifts under $5,000 and directly advances Fello's mission through philanthropy. The Development Manager actively builds and manages a portfolio, guiding donors by using moves management—from identification and qualification to cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship—while maintaining a regular cadence of donor meetings (minimum 2–4 per week) to foster meaningful relationships and drive revenue growth. 

The ideal candidate has expertise and a proven track record in the cultivation, solicitation, and closing of individual gifts, with demonstrated and proven ability to build relationships with diverse groups of people. They must have superb written, analytical, presentation, and public speaking skills, and must be comfortable in all forms of communication, including calling donors for meetings and appeal follow-up. They will have proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, and knowledge of donor database systems; experience with EveryAction and Smartsheet is a plus. This person is a high energy team player with passion for Fello's mission, with the ability to manage towards goals and balance competing demands, and the ability to remain flexible, calm under pressure, and adaptive to change. 

This position requires a high school diploma and a minimum of three years of development experience, with two years of experience in individual giving, with specific direct gift "ask" experience. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
