Job description

Summary

Processes parts through electroplating lines, including loading, unloading, and inspecting parts for quality, while ensuring safe chemical handling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Rack, clean, and immerse parts in plating solutions
  • Verify plating times, metals, and specifications
  • Load/unload plating barrels and visually inspect parts
  • Operate various plating lines and equipment
  • Follow safety procedures when handling chemicals
  • Maintain accurate part counts and quality checks
  • Uphold Positronicโ€™s standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator.
  • Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.
  • Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
RequirementsEducation and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 months in a similar position.
  • Must pass appropriate testing to advance in the ABC program.
Physical
  • Long periods of standing; frequent walking.
  • Bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling required.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs; occasionally handling small parts.
  • High finger dexterity and grip strength needed.
  • PPE includes safety glasses, gloves, and apron when handling chemicals.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in a lab environment with constant exposure to sulfuric and nitric, aluminum, copper, and gold. Constant exposure to sulfuric and nitric acid, aluminum, copper, and gold. Frequent lifting and machine handling. Proper PPE is required.

Shift: Second shift (Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm)
