Maintenance Supervisor – Night Shift

We have two Maintenance Supervisor openings on night shift at a manufacturing facility in Southeast Missouri. If you have a strong maintenance background and experience leading a technical team, we'd like to hear from you.

Schedule

7 days on, 7 days off — Thursday to Thursday, 6 PM to 6 AM, then off Friday through Wednesday. Thursdays are 6-hour shifts; all others are 12 hours. Approximately 45–50 hours per week with no mandatory overtime.

Role Overview

You'll lead a team of five maintenance and automation technicians on night shift at a facility running injection molding, chrome plating, and automated paint operations. Equipment is hydraulic and PLC-driven; all robotics are Fanuc. One team member carries a Team Leader designation. The facility operates four maintenance crews (two on days, two on nights) with supervisors alternating so one is always in the building during each night rotation.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Enforcing safety standards across the shift; LOTO compliance, PPE accountability, and incident response
  • Coaching and developing technicians through regular one-on-ones and competency tracking
  • Executing and documenting corrective and preventive work orders in Maintenance Connection, with root cause evidence required on all corrective orders
  • Owning shift PM completion rates and submitting a monthly compliance audit report
  • Monitoring equipment reliability KPIs and developing countermeasures when metrics trend unfavorably
  • Conducting thorough written and verbal shift handoffs to ensure full situational awareness for the incoming supervisor
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and sharing best practices across rotations

Qualifications

Required:

  • Maintenance supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, and electrical systems
  • Ability to interpret equipment data, work order history, and reliability metrics
  • Familiarity with LOTO procedures and safety compliance standards

Preferred:

  • Experience with Fanuc robotics, PLCs, or other automation platforms
  • Injection molding, chrome plating, or automated paint process experience
  • CMMS proficiency; Maintenance Connection experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, PDCA, or 5-Why

Candidates with a strong track record as a maintenance technician who are ready to step into a supervisory role will also be considered.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: Starting at $90,000 but open for experienced candidates.
