Job description

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced E-commerce Operations Manager to lead both strategic oversight and hands-on execution of our paid media efforts across key retail platforms (Amazon, Chewy, Petco) and direct-to-consumer channels. This role requires a tactical expert with deep platform expertise who can drive day-to-day optimizations while managing agency relationships and communicating performance insights to global teams. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on keyboard experience across major retailer advertising platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Directly manage and optimize campaigns across retail media platforms through systematic weekly performance reviews, implementing bid adjustments, keyword expansion, negative keyword refinement, creative testing, and rapid deployment of new platform features and beta opportunities
  • Build new campaigns, ad groups, and product targeting strategies based on business priorities, seasonal opportunities, and platform expansion as business grows into new retail media networks
  • Collaborate with brand, product, and design teams to develop and source advertising creative assets across all formats (static images, video, rich media), while executing comprehensive A/B testing roadmaps to identify high-performing assets and messaging strategies
  • Create and maintain regular performance reports with detailed analysis of key metrics (ROAS, CAC, LTV, market share impact), presenting optimization changes, test results, and competitive intelligence to overseas and local teams with strategic implications for business decisions
  • Serve as primary liaison between HICC Pet and marketing agencies while maintaining direct platform access for rapid response, and build strategic relationships with retailer advertising teams to leverage platform updates, beta opportunities, and partnership possibilities
  • Directly manage and optimize paid social, Google Ads, and emerging DTC channels with hands-on campaign management
  • Ensure cohesive messaging and budget optimization between retail media and DTC efforts

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on e-commerce operations and performance marketing experience with direct platform management and demonstrated success in driving e-commerce revenue growth
  • 3+ years direct, hands-on experience managing Amazon Ads (Chewy Ads experience preferred) with advanced optimization expertise
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with campaign setup, optimization, and troubleshooting across major advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Criteo Commerce Network, etc)
  • Experience working across merchandising, sales, and product teams in CPG or retail environment
  • Pet industry, CPG, or consumables experience strongly preferred

Technical Skills
  • Platform Mastery: Advanced hands-on proficiency in Amazon Advertising Console, Chewy Ads Manager, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, with ability to quickly learn new retail media platforms
  • Analytics & Tracking: Expert-level experience with Google Analytics, platform-native analytics, attribution setup, and custom reporting dashboard creation
  • Creative Tools: Familiarity with creative asset management tools and basic understanding of ad creative specifications across platforms
  • Excel/Data Analysis: Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills for performance analysis, budget management, and report creation
  • Communication Tools: Experience with reporting tools (Tableau, Looker, or similar) and presentation software for stakeholder communication
