THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a strategic, data-aware Platform Operations Manager to help shape and optimize audience-led campaigns. This role focuses on audience planning, campaign optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with Client Services, Product, and Data Science.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Audience Strategy & Planning
Build thoughtful audience strategies based on client objectives, vertical insights, and platform capabilities. Assess multiple data and audience design options depending on the Sales strategy and the client's desired outcome.
Support Client Services and Sales with audience recommendations and strategic rationale for proposals.
Audience Delivery
Oversee the setup and distribution of audience segments through multiple data and distribution partners, with strong focus on LiveRamp. You will be managing multiple deliveries at a time.
Ensure the accuracy of taxonomy, rates, client seat IDs, and distribution status. Close alignment with Client Services of the status of deliveries is key.
Be proactive in reaching out to external platform support regarding delivery or rate issues. Ensure that we maintain tight delivery timelines.
Reporting and Revenue
Be ready to tackle custom requests for reports. You may be asked to provide analysis of audience composition from a view that is not currently part of our product, or to analyze our currently available data and offer preliminary insights into a custom audience build before it is provided to Data Science or Engineering.
We receive revenue reports from several different data partners and must reconcile and attribute this revenue to our audience segments. Reports are also owed to other vendors with regards to BranchLab usage of external data, and these reports must be completed in a timely manner.
Campaign Optimization
Provide optimization recommendations that align audience selection with creative, inventory, and channel strategies.
Identify performance drivers (audience quality, targeting breadth, frequency, supply diversity, etc.) and adjust strategies accordingly.
Run or support audience-level tests (e.g., audience A\B, creative-to-audience fit tests, incremental value tests).
Identify troubleshooting steps for clients and their DSP traders when campaign delivery or performance issues are identified. Be ready to jump on calls with the traders/operations personnel on the client side to discuss troubleshooting steps and collect intel for BranchLab to use to re-evaluate or re-deploy audiences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with Data Science to share qualitative feedback on audience performance or model behavior.
Partner with Product on new targeting features, audience workflows, or enhancements to audience-building tools.
Work with Engineering to assess and execute custom audience designs to meet client goals. Manage the flow of information and status updates between the Engineering team and Client Services with regards to custom audience requests or troubleshooting actions.
Collaborate closely with Client Services to align on KPIs, provide optimization strategies, and communicate audience-driven impact.
QUALIFICATIONS
โ€ข 3+ years of experience in audience strategy and optimization, ideally within healthcare, programmatic, or audience activation environments.
โ€ข Deep understanding of media platforms and identity graphs (e.g., Meta, TTD, DeepIntent, LiveRamp, etc.).
โ€ข Experience working with anonymized or privacy-regulated data is a strong plus.
โ€ข Ability to work hands-on with data files, formats (CSV, JSON), and trafficking templates.
โ€ข Familiarity with SQL and Postman a plus.
โ€ข Comfortability dealing with revenue reports, both inbound and outbound, is a plus.
โ€ข Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables under tight timelines.
โ€ข Excellent communication and documentation skills; experience working cross-functionally.
โ€ข Startup or early-stage experience strongly preferred.
