Posted 8 days ago

Key responsibilities

  • Define and own the strategic roadmap for Arc's agentic commerce ecosystem, including channel prioritization, ecosystem design, platform adoption, and long-term growth strategy.

  • Build and scale adoption programs and partnership structures that accelerate agentic transaction volume and USDC adoption across targeted ecosystem participants.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to translate ecosystem needs into product priorities across Agent Wallets, Nanopayments, Agent Marketplace, Circle Skills, and Arc infrastructure.

Job description

Circle (NYSE: CRCL) is one of the world's leading internet financial platform companies, building the foundation of a more open, global economy through digital assets, payment applications, and programmable blockchain infrastructure. Circle's platform includes the world's largest regulated stablecoin network anchored by USDC, Circle Payments Network for global money movement, and Arc, an enterprise-grade blockchain designed to become the Economic OS for the internet. Enterprises, financial institutions, and developers use Circle to power trusted, internet-scale financial innovation. Learn more at circle.com.

What you'll be part of:

Circle is committed to visibility and stability in everything we do. As we grow as an organization, we're expanding into some of the world's strongest jurisdictions. Speed and efficiency are motivators for our success and our employees live by our company values: High Integrity, Future Forward, Multistakeholder, Mindful, and Driven by Excellence. We have built a flexible work environment where new ideas are encouraged and everyone is a stakeholder.

What you'll be responsible for:

As the Senior Director, Arc - Agentic Commerce Strategy & GTM, you will define and execute Circle's strategy for agentic commerce, helping establish USDC, Arc, and the Circle Agent Stack as the default financial infrastructure for AI agents. Working across Ecosystems, Product, Developer Relations, Engineering, and Commercial leadership, you will identify the highest-value opportunities for agent-driven commerce, define the strategic roadmap for ecosystem adoption, architect partnership and growth programs, and influence the product investments required to accelerate adoption.

This is not a traditional business development role. Success in this position comes from defining ecosystem strategy closely with relationship owners and commercial teams to build a category-defining ecosystem rather than executing individual transactions.

You will build and scale the agentic commerce ecosystem on Arc, Circle's own blockchain - making it the chain where AI-driven commerce settles by default. Because Arc is infrastructure Circle owns end to end, your mandate is to deepen the surfaces that live on it: a marketplace with real supply depth, broad external adoption of the Agent Stack, and the design-partner integrations and product capabilities that make Arc the natural home for agentic transactions. Working across a network of AI builders, model providers, inference platforms, enterprises, developers, and ecosystem partners, you'll turn that network into durable, defensible advantage for Circle.

What success looks like:

Within your first 90 days, you will:

  • Develop and socialize a comprehensive agentic commerce ecosystem strategy aligned across Product, Ecosystems, Developer Relations, and executive leadership.

  • Identify priority demand channels, ecosystem partners, and platform integrations required to accelerate agentic USDC adoption.

  • Establish strong working relationships across Product, Engineering, Developer Relations, Partnerships, and Commercial teams.

  • Build alignment around ecosystem priorities, platform requirements, and partnership opportunities.

  • Establish operating rhythms and ownership models across internal stakeholders supporting the agentic commerce strategy.

Within your first 6-12 months, you will:

  • Launch strategic ecosystem partnerships that drive measurable agentic transaction volume and usage of Circle Agent Stack products.

  • Expand adoption of Agent Wallets, Nanopayments, Agent Marketplace, and related infrastructure across priority ecosystem participants.

  • Influence product roadmap priorities that improve the competitiveness and adoption of Circle's agentic commerce infrastructure.

  • Create repeatable ecosystem growth motions, partnership frameworks, and adoption programs that scale beyond individual relationships.

  • Establish Circle as a leading platform for agent-driven commerce and payments.

  • Develop a clear strategic bridge between agentic commerce, autonomous finance, and future agent-driven capital markets activity.

What you'll work on:

  • Define and own the strategic roadmap for Arc's agentic commerce ecosystem, including channel prioritization, ecosystem design, platform adoption, and long-term growth strategy.

  • Build and scale adoption programs across venture ecosystems, AI startups, model providers, inference platforms, enterprises, and developer communities.

  • Design partnership structures, ecosystem incentives, commercial frameworks, and growth programs that accelerate agentic transaction volume and USDC adoption.

  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to translate ecosystem needs into product priorities across Agent Wallets, Nanopayments, Agent Marketplace, Circle Skills, and Arc infrastructure.

  • Develop repeatable ecosystem motions including credits programs, reference architectures, default integrations, onboarding frameworks, and co-marketing initiatives.

  • Influence product strategy by bringing the voice of AI builders, model providers, enterprises, and ecosystem participants into roadmap decisions.

  • Monitor ecosystem performance, market dynamics, competitive developments, and emerging AI infrastructure trends to continuously strengthen Circle's market position.

  • Help shape the long-term convergence of agentic commerce, autonomous finance, and agent-driven capital markets activity across Arc.

What you'll bring to Circle:

Core Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience spanning platform partnerships, ecosystem development, product partnerships, developer platforms, strategy, business development, or related functions.

  • Demonstrated success creating and scaling new markets, categories, platforms, ecosystems, or infrastructure businesses.

  • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple organizations without direct authority.

  • Experience building platform adoption strategies, ecosystem growth initiatives, or marketplace businesses that drive measurable usage and engagement.

  • Strong product instincts with the ability to translate ecosystem requirements into platform capabilities and roadmap priorities.

  • Experience structuring complex commercial partnerships, business models, and ecosystem programs involving multiple stakeholders and long-term strategic outcomes.

  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, executive influence, and strategic problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in highly ambiguous, rapidly evolving markets and turn emerging opportunities into scalable business outcomes.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working with AI platforms, foundation model providers, inference infrastructure, agent frameworks, developer tooling, or AI application ecosystems.

  • Experience with payments, fintech infrastructure, stablecoins, digital assets, embedded finance, or internet-native financial systems.

  • Familiarity with agentic commerce, autonomous systems, programmable payments, machine-to-machine transactions, or AI-driven economic networks.

  • Experience building ecosystems around developer platforms, APIs, marketplaces, or usage-based infrastructure products.

  • Experience working with enterprise technology adoption, platform GTM, or emerging technology commercialization initiatives.
