Job description

Position: Platform Analyst

Company: Mediassociates, 75 Glen Road, Sandy Hook CT 06482

Company Overview:

Mediassociates is a leading independent media planning, buying and analytics agency located in the greater NYC Metro Area, dedicated to proactively guiding clients through the ongoing revolution in media and technology to achieve better business results. Our growth has been built on having a transparent data lens that measures the impact of advertising on our clients' business.

Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, junior Platform Analyst to support the testing, rollout, and continuous improvement of our internal media planning and analytics platform.

This role focuses on ensuring new features and workflow updates are thoroughly tested, clearly documented, and successfully adopted by internal teams. The ideal candidate is organized, process-driven, and comfortable working across technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is not a software development role - rather, it is centered on quality assurance, coordination, and user enablement.

This position offers strong growth exposure to media technology, analytics systems, and cross-functional product collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Test new platform features, enhancements, and workflow updates prior to release
  • Conduct structured user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Identify, document, and track bugs or usability issues
  • Validate system outputs for accuracy and alignment with business needs

Workflow & Product Support

  • Provide organized feedback on usability and process improvements
  • Translate business requirements into clear testing scenarios
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to clarify expected functionality

Training & Documentation

  • Support onboarding and training for internal users
  • Create and maintain user guides, release notes, and documentation
  • Serve as a resource for platform-related questions

Project & Release Coordination

  • Assist with coordinating feature releases and system updates
  • Track open issues and enhancement requests
  • Communicate updates and timelines to stakeholders

Data & Systems Validation

  • Perform basic data quality checks and validation
  • Confirm inputs and outputs align with reporting standards
  • Escalate inconsistencies or risks appropriately

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in analytics, systems support, QA, operations, or related roles
  • Experience with software testing, QA processes, or user acceptance testing
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Wrike, Jira, Asana)
  • Media, advertising, or marketing analytics experience
  • Strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines effectively
  • Comfortable learning new systems and tools (coding experience not required)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Basic understanding of databases or data structures
  • Experience working with distributed or offshore teams
