Job description

Milacron is looking for a Heat Treat - Metal Working Senior Operations to join our team in Mt Orab, OH. In this position, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring heat treat furnaces and quenching processes to ensure metal components meet engineering, quality, and safety standards.
Work You'll Do:
Set up, operate, and monitor heat treat furnaces and quenching processes for steel and alloy components
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine correct temperatures and cycle times
Perform hardness testing and basic metallurgical inspections to verify compliance with specifications
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on heat treat equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
Document heat treatment cycles, test results, and process data in support of quality and traceability requirements
Qualifications:
Must Have:
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience operating heat treatment equipment, including furnaces and quenching processes
  • Working knowledge of metallurgy, hardness testing, and heat treat principles
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry
  • Ability to work onsite on 3rd shift (11pm-7am)
  • Commitment to OSHA, ISO, and company safety standards

Nice to Have:
  • 2+ years of experience in heat treating, metallurgy, or a related manufacturing environment
  • Technical certification or formal training in heat treatment or metallurgy
