PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

Perform the tasks required for the safe and efficient operation of the Injection Mold Machines


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Review daily work orders and identify priorities and required resources to complete each project
  • Perform pre-operation inspection to ensure all parts of the injection mold machine are free from debris and obstruction and the equipment is properly calibrated
  • Load all raw materials into the machine and reload as necessary
  • Start the injection mold machine and ensure the cooling system is working
  • Observe all machine functions to ensure normal operation
  • Inspect the first run to ensure quality standards are met
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies only as specified and needed without waste
  • Clear jammed parts, injectors, barrels as needed
  • Clean and lube the machine and molds per the operations manual
  • Identify and correct malfunctions as needed. Notify maintenance for problems that require greater expertise to resolve
  • Assist others within the facility as needed
  • Preform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:

EDUCATION

PREFERRED:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

REQUIRED:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of ISO standards

PREFERRED:

  • 2 years of injection molding experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Vision: Use vision to read, write, type, operate office, electronic, and manufacturing equipment, and make fine adjustments.

Motor Coordination: Requires hands to operate equipment.

Lift/Carry: Regularly lift, push, and move up to 50lbs.

Environment: Office and warehouse environments may be dust, contain sharp edges, include areas that are not well lit, the floor may be uneven or cracked, and the facility may be subject to variations in temperature.
