Quad West Allis is currently hiring a Plasma Table Operator to join our team!

Job Description:     

Turn raw metal into precision parts that keep production moving. Quad is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Plasma & Burn Table Operator to set up, operate, and maintain CNC plasma cutting equipment while ensuring every part meets our quality standards.

In this role, you'll combine technical skill, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety to produce accurate cuts, troubleshoot equipment, and finish parts for delivery to the next stage of production. First shift Monday through Friday 7A.M.- 3:30 P.M.

What You'll Do

  • Set up and operate CNC plasma and burn tables. 
  • Program machines and enter cutting instructions. 
  • Align and position materials accurately. 
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot operating issues. 
  • Replace consumables, including tips and electrodes. 
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and proper dimensions. 
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain precision cuts. 
  • Grind and smooth finished parts using hand tools and power grinders. 
  • Remove rough edges and ensure a clean, finished appearance. 
  • Maintain production and quality inspection records. 
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment. 
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards. 
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals. 
  • Participate in team meetings and training. 

What You Bring

  • Previous experience operating CNC plasma cutting machines. 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. 
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to manage work orders, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources. 
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures. 
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials. 
  • Certification-or willingness to become certified-to operate powered industrial vehicles, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
