How much do plasma center rn jobs pay per hour?

As of Jul 15, 2026, the average hourly pay for plasma center rn in Virginia is $41.63, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $29.22 and $49.56 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Plasma Center Rn position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Plasma Center RN, you need a current RN license, strong clinical assessment skills, and experience with phlebotomy or blood collection procedures. Familiarity with donor management systems, adherence to regulatory protocols, and competency in using electronic medical records are essential. Outstanding interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a calm demeanor in fast-paced situations help RNs excel in this setting. These abilities are crucial for ensuring donor safety, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive donor experience.

Can I make $1000 a month donating plasma?

A Plasma Center RN typically earns between $15 and $30 per hour, so donating plasma alone is unlikely to generate $1000 monthly unless working full-time hours. Additional income may come from other roles or bonuses, but plasma donation centers primarily compensate donors, not staff. RNs in plasma centers are paid for their professional services, which can contribute to overall income but are not directly related to plasma donation earnings.

What is a Plasma Center RN job?

A Plasma Center RN (Registered Nurse) is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of plasma donors during the donation process. They conduct health screenings, monitor donors for adverse reactions, and manage medical emergencies if they arise. Additionally, they help educate donors on plasma donation and follow regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance. This role is crucial in supporting plasma collection, which contributes to life-saving medical treatments.

Do nurses work at plasma donation centers?

Yes, nurses often work at plasma donation centers, where they are responsible for donor health assessments, blood collection, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. They typically need relevant certifications such as RN licensure and may assist with managing adverse reactions or medical emergencies during donation procedures.

What are the typical responsibilities of a Plasma Center RN during a shift?

A Plasma Center RN is responsible for performing donor assessments, monitoring donors throughout the donation process, managing any adverse reactions, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. You may also oversee or assist with the training of other clinical staff, handle quality control tasks, and provide customer service to donors. Collaboration is common with phlebotomists, center management, and quality assurance teams. This role requires balancing clinical expertise with strong communication skills to create a safe and supportive environment for donors and staff alike.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

A Plasma Center RN can earn around $4,000 per week through full-time work, overtime, or bonuses, especially in high-demand areas. Other high-paying jobs without a degree include sales managers, commercial pilots, or skilled trades like electricians and plumbers, which often require certifications or apprenticeships but not a college degree.

Does BioLife hire nurses?

BioLife Plasma Services hires registered nurses (RNs) to perform donor health assessments, monitor donors during plasma collection, and ensure safety protocols are followed. Nursing skills and certifications are often required for these roles, which may involve working in a clinical environment with specific training requirements. RNs at BioLife play a key role in maintaining donor safety and compliance with industry standards.
