Job description

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Plant Supervisor As a Plant Supervisor you will be responsible for providing guidance to team members while monitoring equipment and workloads to ensure the safe and timely completion of processing for various projects across a hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facility.

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Schedules, plans, and guides employees in their assigned tasks, ensuring production goals are met in an efficient and safe manner
  • Develops, maintains and initiates reports for all activities for leadership review or as required by regulations and Company policies and procedures
  • Trains new employees in Company and department-specific procedures while monitoring and documenting adherence to the established goals and metrics
  • Partners with various areas at the facility location, as well as other departments and leadership to ensure a smooth flow of material through the facility
  • Ensures assigned work areas and equipment are inspected and documented appropriately; notifies maintenance when repairs are required
  • Participates in hiring, promotion, evaluation and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
Education
  • High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
Experience
  • 3+ years of related environmental experience at the supervisory level (required)
  • 2+ years of environmental, health and safety experience (required)
  • Previous experience operating tractor trailers / yard trucks (preferred)
