Job description

We are looking for a PLANT SUPERVISOR to join our team in Midlothian, TX. As a Plant Supervisor with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, you will oversees ready-mix concrete plant operations, ensuring proper equipment, materials, and production to meet client needs. Maintains safety for personnel and customers, coordinates daily production and deliveries with the Plant Manager, and provides timely reports. May also handle scheduling to ensure efficient, on-time distribution and customer satisfaction.

About the Role
Responsibilities:
  • Leads safety efforts, including meetings and enforcing proper equipment use.
  • Ensures batching accuracy and monitors material quality.
  • Coordinates operations with Area Operations Manager.
  • Supervises plant staff and supports hiring and performance management.
  • Maintains accurate payroll/timekeeping records.
  • Monitors delivery timing and works with mixer operators for on-time service.
  • Oversees equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensures plant operates at target capacity.
  • Maintains overall plant cleanliness and organization.

About You
We Require:
  • High School diploma or GED, Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
  • 3 years' experience with concrete and related products.
  • 1 year maintenance and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Possess a current driver's license (preferably a C.D.L.).
  • Current knowledge of D.O.T., O.S.H.A., EPA, and other agencies regulations.
  • Self-starter with desire to promote values and business principles.
  • Ability to direct, teach, motivate, and coach.
  • Ability to formulate decisions, makes and support recommendations, prioritize work, communicate with multiple parties and handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate positive working relationships with all levels of management and staff.
  • Bilingual is desired but not required.
