Job description

PLANT OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

The Plant Operations Assistant, under the direction of the Production Supervisor, is responsible for operating manufacturing/packaging equipment, which includes equipment set-up, checking for the quality of the product and meeting production schedules.

JOB DUTIES

  • Operate conveyor, shrink-wrap and bagging equipment
  • Hanging and sealing bags of product
  • Filling and sealing shaker bottles of product
  • Bag product with the correct blend to the required weight level
  • Place product on pallets according to specifications
  • Assist with maintaining equipment which includes cleaning out production equipment and lines
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate various types of machinery and equipment
  • Mechanical and technical skills with exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs unassisted

SCHEDULE / PAY

  • $14+ Per hour DOE
  • Minimum 42.5 hours per week + additional OT as needed
  • Typical schedule will be between 6am & 5pm Mon-Fri
