We're looking for a Sand & Gravel Plant Operator to help run and maintain aggregate production equipment at one of our high-output facilities. You'll be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining crushing, screening, and washing equipment to ensure the safe and efficient production of sand and gravel used in construction projects across the region.

Plant Operations & Monitoring:

  • Operate and monitor processing equipment including crushers, conveyors, screens, feeders, and wash plants.
  • Adjust equipment settings and controls to maintain consistent material quality and production flow.
  • Perform start-up and shutdown procedures, including inspections and system checks.


Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as greasing bearings, replacing belts, clearing clogs, and inspecting wear components.
  • Assist maintenance teams in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
  • Keep detailed records of downtime, repairs, and maintenance logs.


Material Quality & Production Tracking:

  • Ensure proper blending and sizing of materials according to specifications.
  • Monitor material flow and reject off-spec material as needed.
  • Communicate production goals and material needs with foremen or dispatch.


Safety & Housekeeping:

  • Follow all MSHA safety guidelines and company safety procedures.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area around plant equipment, conveyors, and stockpiles.

Desired Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in aggregate production or plant operations.
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
  • Familiarity with MSHA regulations and industrial safety standards.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and in outdoor conditions year-round.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and dependable.
  • Valid driver's license required.
