DESCRIPTION:

The Planning Administrator primary responsibility will be to complete the daily data entry and filing tasks for the Planning department. Additional responsibilities may include assisting in tracking the status on the flow of production parts to support established customer commitments (delivery requirements) and assisting in the creation of planning tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Data entry into various software systems (MRP and CRM systems).
  • Data integrity verification and proof reading.
  • Department filing of PO’s, Contracts, etc.
  • Create/maintain job/work orders based on the demand of production departments.
  • Assist in tracking the status of parts as they move through various departments.
  • Assist in interacting with Engineering to obtain status and priority of parts waiting to be processed or moved.
  • Communicate, in a timely manner, any issues which may impact or delay the established schedule.
  • Participate in production meetings and assist with necessary administrative functions.
  • Assist with shipping documentation.
  • Assist in material release requests.
  • Assist in planning file creation (Prod tracker/Demand files).
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

  • N/A

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma, GED equivalent.
  • Must possess a keen attention to detail to be able to accurately complete data entry tasks and filing in a timely manner.
  • Experience using an ERP/MRP system (Vantage highly desired).
  • Ability to listen and follow instructions.
  • Successfully manage frequently changing priorities.
  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:

  • Standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, or bending to the floor.
  • Occasionally lifting and/or moving items up to 40 pounds.
  • Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to differentiate shades and color to identify coating defects.
  • Near acuity or accommodation required for reading instrumentation and documentation, dial and digital gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of coating operations.
  • Ability to handle delicate parts.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:

  • Regularly exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts, ovens, and risk of burns.
  • Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
  • High noise levels from operating machines.
  • The employee will be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent exposure to hazardous materials commonly used in a manufacturing environment (i.e., safety glasses and shoes, gloves, ear plugs/covers, mask, cleanroom suit).
  • Low noise levels in office environment.
  • High noise levels while working near operating machines.
  • Physical hazards while working near moving equipment and mechanical parts.
  • Possible breathing of fumes, odors, dust, and mist.
