Summary
The Marketing Specialist will help develop, execute, and monitor marketing programs across a variety of channels. Their work includes researching the market, analyzing trends to help define the organization's marketing strategy, and providing advice as to how to best reach the target market. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for sending out Planet 13 related marketing messages to its audience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Helps develop the creation and production of sales, marketing, and packaging materials.
  • Responsible for sending out Planet 13 related messages to include daily text and email blasts.
  • Promote brand awareness through marketing campaigns for our different brands.
  • Ability to collaborate and work alongside Planet 13's graphic designer to execute marketing campaigns.
  • Oversees advertising schedules and placement.
  • Execute goals in our marketing channels to better reach customers.
  • Publish media articles on our website for investors.
  • Manage vendor initiatives by coordinating project deliverables, maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Help bring in influencers/celebrities for media opportunities to help promote our brands and store.
  • Oversee all affiliate programs that help with sales for Planet 13.
  • Undertake individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned.
  • Produce and manage photo and video content for social media platforms, website updates and events.
  • Manage and maintain social media platforms, creating engaging content, monitoring performance metrics.
  • Plan and execute partnerships from sponsorship opportunities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel when needed to additional Planet 13 locations and marketing events.
  • Helps prepare for involvement in community organizations and events.
  • Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
  • Assist with the implementation of company policies, standard operating procedures, and performance standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Daily compliance with company policies including but not limited to; state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Marketing or Advertising related experience and/or training is preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office is preferred.
Experience in WordPress and Web Design/Development is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be 21 years of age or older.
NV State Agent Card Required.
OSHA 10 Required (company paid) to be completed within 6 months of hiring.
