Employment Litigation Associate Attorney


Career Consulting Partners is proud to partner with a well-established boutique labor and employment law firm located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The firm is seeking a driven Labor and Employment Attorney to join its expanding plaintiff-side practice.
Our client is seeking a plaintiff-side Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with 2–5 years of experience handling FEHA and related employment claims. This role offers significant autonomy while providing mentorship from a senior attorney. The selected attorney will be responsible for managing employment litigation matters from inception through resolution in Southern California courts.
The ideal candidate is comfortable handling all phases of litigation and is eager to take ownership of cases while continuing to grow within a fast-expanding firm.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Independently manage a caseload of single-plaintiff employment matters, with a focus on FEHA, wrongful termination, disability, and related claims

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements

  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex California employment law issues

  • Prepare for and appear at court hearings, mediations, case management conferences, and trials

  • Take and defend depositions

  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and administrative agencies (including DFEH and EEOC)

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations

  • Stay current on developments in California employment law and litigation practices

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

  • An active member of the California State Bar in good standing

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in plaintiff-side employment law (FEHA and related claims)

  • Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage assignments independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment

  • Demonstrated ability to handle a caseload independently and meet deadlines

  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Compensation & Benefits
