Job description

Join our detail-oriented housekeeping team that helps maintain the beauty and charm of The Inn at SentryWorld

At The Inn at SentryWorld, our business is about people and the relationships we build. Our atmosphere is welcoming, and our team is genuine, dedicated and insightful when it comes delivering excellent service.

The team is seeking a Seasonal Full-Time Housekeeper to join our detail-oriented housekeeping team and help maintain the beauty and charm of The Inn at SentryWorld. This position has a starting rate of $16/hour.

What You'll Do

As a housekeeper, you will:

  • Clean guest rooms to ensure all areas are properly sanitized and appropriately stocked with room amenities.
  • Change and replace guest room bedding and towels and direct necessary items to laundry area.
  • Vacuum guest rooms and clean all floor surfaces while following set procedures.
  • Dust and sanitize all in-room surfaces, safely, using appropriate chemicals and equipment.
  • Deliver items such as extra linens, towels or pillows to rooms upon guest request.
  • Provide a secure environment for all guests and associates by ensuring all guestrooms are locked and assigned keys are maintained and return/document any items left behind in guest rooms after departure.

Additionally, you will:

  • Assist in laundry operations, including but not limited to, loading/unloading machines, folding, ironing, and stocking linen and terry products
  • May assist Bellhop in delivering guest luggage to guest rooms during check-in and assisting guests with luggage at time of checkout.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned from time to time.

What it Takes

  • Age requirement of 18+ required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Housekeeping experience preferred
  • Demonstrated guest-service orientation
  • Ability to work in an organized and efficient manner while adjusting based on guest requests/needs.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, and ability to multitask and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines
