Engineering Manager | Paw Paw, MI

Salary Range: $118,000 - $167,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Paw Paw that are seeking Engineering Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Oversee the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize manufacturing operations.
• Implement and maintain engineering best practices, standards, and safety protocols.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from conception to completion, including budget and timeline management.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with CAD software, PLM systems, and other relevant engineering tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding, automation).
• Experience managing projects with external vendors or suppliers.
• Advanced degree in engineering or a related technical field.
