If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Caledonia seeking CNC Mill Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines using CAM software.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
  • Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure collision avoidance and optimal tool paths.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing CNC programs for efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to refine processes and resolve issues.
  • Create and maintain detailed setup sheets and tooling lists.
  • Perform first-article inspections and make necessary program adjustments.
Recommended Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience programming 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills.
  • Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Siemens NX, Esprit).
  • Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
  • Experience with tool selection, fixture design, and process optimization.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with 5-axis programming.
  • Familiarity with a variety of CAM software beyond the primary system (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM, Fusion 360).
  • Proficiency in G-code and M-code editing at the machine control.
  • Ability to design and model fixtures in CAD software.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection tools and metrology.
