The company offers a collaborative, people-oriented culture and meaningful opportunities for professional development.

What You'll Be Doing

    • Drive accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close cycles, including support for financial statement preparation.
    • Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts; investigate and resolve variances.
    • Handle revenue and cost recognition for work-in-process (WIP) projects, including reconciliations, journal entries, and coordination with project managers, estimators, and operations.

    • Process payroll-related journal entries and perform related reconciliations.
    • Work with shared services functions (AP, cash applications, etc.) to verify transactions, reconcile subledgers, and ensure accurate GL posting.
    • Review monthly P&L activity to confirm appropriate accruals, deferrals, and expense recognition.
    • Perform monthly financial analysis to surface trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings or performance improvement.
    • Partner with operations and project teams to provide financial insight that supports decision-making.
    • Support external auditors during the annual audit by preparing schedules and responding to requests.
    • Ensure ongoing compliance with GAAP, relevant regulations, and internal policies.

What We're Looking For

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience; A background in a multi-entity, project-based, service, construction, or mechanical/trades environment is strongly preferred.
    • Advanced proficiency with mid-market ERP/accounting systems (Sage Intacct experience is a plus) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, data modeling).
    • Strong reconciliation skills with the ability to work through backlog independently
    • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment with shifting priorities
