Job description

Job Purpose:

Maintaining the manufacturing operations, troubleshoot hardware and software failures, and work to continuously improve the systems, processes, and procedures in area of responsibility.

Main Responsibilities:

Role activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Follow safety rules, and comply with H&S, Environment, and Quality management systems
  • Proactively participate and promote 5S and safety programs
  • Troubleshooting of PLC’s, AC/DC Motors, Drives, Robots, and other Electrical components
  • Read / Troubleshoot Electrical prints and diagrams
  • Perform planned maintenance activities on the equipment during stoppages
  • Perform continuous inspection of the equipment to ensure correct operation and early diagnosis of problems
  • Take a full part in diagnosis of production / quality problems and then implementing corrective action plans
  • To cover for Production Technicians as and when required
  • Work to continuously improve the systems, processes, and procedures in area of responsibility.


Skills & Competences:

  • Technical Degree, preferred.
  • Previous maintenance experience that demonstrates a high level of troubleshooting skills, electrical and mechanical with an emphasis on electrical
  • Working knowledge of PLC (Siemens), and Drive programming and maintenance. Experience of robotics, extruders/injectors and other process machinery to include CNC is a plus.
  • Capability to work on own initiative, autonomously where required and to take responsibility.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, participating in continuous improvement activities using problem solving techniques.
