A Pipeline Weld Inspector is responsible for examining and assessing the quality of welds on pipelines to ensure they meet safety codes and industry standards. They use various non-destructive testing methods, such as visual inspection, ultrasonic testing, and radiography, to detect any defects or irregularities in the welds. Their work is crucial for preventing leaks, ensuring structural integrity, and maintaining environmental and public safety. Inspectors also document their findings and may recommend repairs or approve completed welds for continued pipeline construction or operation.
