$72,000.00 - $120,200.00
This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.
Job Title: Services Staff Consultant - Simulation
Location: Owings Mills, MD
Employment Type: Full-time (Hybrid) *
*Due to the hybrid nature of this role, candidates must currently reside within a commutable distance from office (less than 50 miles).
**Additionally, we are unable to provide current or future sponsorship for this role.
Overview:
This position is responsible to deliver simulation solutions to our pipeline customers in the Oil & Gas industry. The engineer will work as part of larger project teams and complete assignments to deliver the final solution to meet the needs of the customer. This work will include design documentation, implementation, testing, customer training and site commissioning.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, configuration, and implementation of pipeline simulation solutions using AVEVA's Pipeline Integrity Monitor modeling application.

  • Development of project documentation including the Functional Design Specification, Acceptance Test Procedures, and custom user documentation.

  • Participate as a member of a larger team in project implementation and delivery to customers.

  • Work directly with customers to understand customer's needs and requirements.

  • Travel to client sites will be required (approximately 25%).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (minimum) in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Process or Petroleum Engineering.
  • Completed coursework in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics
  • Basic understanding of project lifecycle and execution methodologies
  • 0-3 years of experience in oil and gas pipeline transportation or related industry
  • Basic experience or familiarity with software applications and/or modeling tools

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly convey technical information
  • Effective team player with the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary or cross-functional teams
  • Logical and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to take ownership of assigned work
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn
  • Confident presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in programming, such as C++ or Fortran
  • Knowledge of basic computer networking concepts
  • Proficiency in a secondary language is a plus
  • Familiarity with pipeline simulation software or related engineering tools
