Job description

Extraordinary teams building inspiring projects: 

Bechtel Construction Company (BCC) delivers projects across North America in partnership with the North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU). BCC Craft Professionals are affiliated with the Building Trades Union corresponding to their skilled trade and perform work across a range of construction and industrial projects.  

BCC is currently sourcing potential candidates for the Natrium Project in Kemmerer, Wyoming. The Project will consist of a 345MWe nuclear power plant based on Natrium technology. Submitted information will be shared with the appropriate Building Trades Union Hall, which will contact qualified craft professionals based on project needs.

Duties:

  1. 5 + years of experience in industrial construction as a journeyman pipefitter.
  2. Possess basic rigging skills.
  3. Proficient in the use of small power tools (i.e. die grinder, right angle grinder).
  4. Able to read and comprehend piping isometric drawings.
  5. Able to read piping & instrument diagrams’ (preferred).
  6. 3+ years’ experience in the testing and commissioning of piping systems.
  7. Capable of efficiently planning work.
  8. Capable of weld joint preparation to meet project codes and standards.
  9. Proficient in pipe lay-out.
  10. Threads pipe using a threading machine.
  11. Able to read and comprehend support details/drawings.
  12. May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
  13. Cleans and performs minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment.
  14. Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
  15. Must be able to climb vertical ladders and work from heights as necessary.
  16. Adheres to all safety procedures.
  17. Understand the use of all types of personal fall arrest systems.
  18. Able to access scaffold.
