Based upon your direct experience and background, a salary offer will likely be presented to you within our starting minimum to midpoint of range ($45,969 - $58,611). JOB FUNCTIONS Records all court proceedings verbatim by use of specialized equipment Catalogs and files stenographic notes and transcripts Prepares and certifies transcripts Reads back testimony from stenographic notes as requested Replies to correspondence relating to transcripts of proceedings Performs other related duties as assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be certified by the Arizona Supreme Court pursuant to ARS 32-4021 at time of application.

A High School diploma, or equivalent G.E.D. certificate; and Two (2) years of professional experience as a court reporter; or Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS Arizona residents must have a valid Arizona Driver's License upon hire; newly established Arizona Residents must have one within 30 days of hire

Court Reporter certification must be maintained as a condition of employment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Applicable Statutes and Rules of Procedure pertaining to Court Reporters Pinal County and specific court-related policies and procedures Principles of file and records management Court processes, procedures and legal terminology Courtroom proceedings Terms and practices in the field of court reporting Specialized and technical vocabulary, i.e. legal, medical, scientific, engineering, physics and others English grammar, punctuation and usage Maintain confidentiality in court related matters Utilize computerized stenographic equipment Work extended hours under stressful conditions Prepare and maintain well organized manual and electronic files Remain impartial and detached during emotionally charged proceedings Establish and maintain effective working relationships Follow written and verbal instructions Communicate effectively verbally and in writing PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Independent body mobility to stand, walk, bend, and sit for prolonged periods of time and drive a vehicle

Manual dexterity to reach and grasp; manual dexterity to hand write or use computer keyboard; vision sufficient to see/read; hear and speak to communicate with customers in person and over the phone. May be exposed to potential physical harm and/or infectious diseases. May be required to lift and/or carry heavy, bulky items, equipment, supplies and/or other materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS Position is primarily located in an indoor office environment. May be required to perform reporter duties in other than indoor environments, as necessary. Will be required to drive throughout the County.

May be subject to irregular work hours/schedules to include completion of work on holidays and weekends.
